Yesterday evening, Brandon attended the King's Entrepreneurship Institute's Idea Factory Competition as a member of the judging panel, held at the King's College Business School, where Brandon studied during his Business Management degree.
Ten of the school's most promising startup teams pitched their business ventures to a panel of successful entrepreneurs in this high-stakes competition. Brandon helped to provide these students with valuable feedback on their validation processes. An £8,000 prize fund was up for grabs, which the winning team could put towards their business.

The Institute received 64 applications for the competition, narrowing this number down to ten finalists. Each finalist was given three minutes to present, followed by a five minute Q&A with the judges. There was a huge mix of genres between these ten early stage business ideas, ranging from healthcare to sportswear to the music industry!
A big congratulations to the winners, Query Minds, who are an AI-powered platform aiming to innovate the way in which healthcare professionals retrieve and leverage clinical and operational data.

Upon reflection of the successful event, Brandon praised the network he has gotten out of King's. "Wilson's law says that if you surround yourself with intelligence and knowledge, success follows. This evening reminded me of the great minds King's College has and how proud I am to be an alumni.".
